Detection Method:Sandwich
Test principle:This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate TLN1 in samples. An antibody specific for TLN1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyTLN1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TLN1 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TLN1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Product Overview:TALIN is a high-molecular-weight cytoskeletal protein concentrated at regions of cell-substratum contactand, in lymphocytes, at cell-cell contacts.Talin-1 is a cytoskeletal protein which is concentrated in areas of cell-substratum and cell-cell contacts. This protein plays a significant role in the assembly of actin filaments and in spreading and migration of various cell types, including fibroblasts and osteoclasts. It codistributes with integrins in the cell surface membrane in order to assist in the attachment of adherent cells to extracellular matrices and of lymphocytes to other cells. The N-terminus of this protein contains elements for localization to cell-extracellular matrix junctions. The C-terminus contains binding sites for proteins such as beta-1-integrin, actin, and vinculin.
