Detection Method:Sandwich
Test principle:This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate STK31 in samples. An antibody specific for STK31 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anySTK31 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for STK31 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of STK31 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Product Overview:This au protein kinase belongs to the family of transferases, specifically those transferring a phosphate group to the sidechain oxygen atom of serine or threonine residues in proteins. This enzyme participates in 14 metabolic pathways: erbb signaling pathway, cell cycle, wnt signaling pathway, hedgehog signaling pathway, axon guidance, focal adhesion, b cell receptor signaling pathway, insulin signaling pathway, melanogenesis, alzheimer's disease, colorectal cancer, endometrial cancer, prostate cancer, and basal cell carcinoma.Expressed in the brain, particularly in cortical and hippocampal neurons. Weakly expressed in spinal cord and testis. No expression in adipose tissue, bladder, cervix, colon, esophagus, heart, kidney, liver, lung, ovary, placenta, prostate, skeletal muscle, small intestine, spleen, testis, thymus, thyroid or trachea.
